South Africa is current in the midst of a watershed moment. The masses have taken to the streets calling for the resignation of President Jacob Zuma. Zuma’s recent cabinet reshuffle has starkly exposed the lengths he will go to, to ensure complete state capture. The response of ordinary South African’s, civil society and political parties has been to demand new leadership. The current crisis the ANC is facing will determine the future of the organisation. It is against this context that The Giant is Falling has become an increasingly important and relevant documentary. The film is currently being screened in Johannesburg at the Bioscope Independant Cinema. Check the dates below.
